There is a genre… It’s yet unnamed, but certainly discovered. I plan on calling it… Guy drama and reality tv. If you’ll notice, there is a while slew of tv shows that are reality tv and have simply captured the minds of guys all over the country. UFC, Deadliest Catch, Ice Road truckers, all the variations of the Loggers. Now what girl watches these things and is addicted? The numbers are slim. But the numbers for guys who are addicted? Those are very high. Now, guys won’t admit it’s ‘guy drama’ because it’s such a girly concept, but if you eavesdrop on a gaggle of guys talking about deadliest catch, you could swear it has the same profile as a gaggle of girls whispering excitedly about the latest episode of the Hills.
I have asked guys about my theory of the guy drama genre and they are completely against it. They refuse to see the similarities. It’s so there, they just don’t want to seem unmanly about watching drama, but that’s exactly what it is. Hollywood has finally found a new genre that is taking off. Guy Drama. It’s fast, full of danger and chalk full of testosterone. The only downside is that it only attracts half of the population, but seeig as the other half is preoccupied with the original girly drama, Hollywood has found a new marketing strategy that will tide them over till they can start writing original scripts again and stop remaking every flop from the 80′s. Congrats.
Haven’t posted in a while, mostly because there really hasn’t been anything Interesting to post about… Until now! Well, this isn’t all that interesting but I feel like posting and this is possibly the most interestig thing that has happened to me these past days…
So my friends and I decided to meet up and have dinner together at Noodlez one evening and share stories of our summer thus far and catch up on the latest gossip and guy stories. Well we finished all the good stories rather quickly And there was a target nearby so we left noodles and headed for the target, getting sidetracked on te way by shoes! Of course. So we found a half dozen pairs of shoes we wanted but didn’t have money for but Emma decided to get one of the pairs she liked. As I was browsing around I found a super cute bag! But it had what looked like kool aide on it and was sadly out of my price range, which was about 5$. So I sadly bid adeiu to the bag and went with Emma to the check out so she could buy her shoes. Well… The store was having a but any item get another 50% off! So I ran over and grabbed my bag and showed the kool aide blotches and got another 50% off the previous 50% so it ended up being 4$. yes! It was a very exciting day in the shopping world.

First summer concert series!!! Concerts in the summer are pretty much the best part of the summer experience for the majority of people. They’re just so fun and loud and smelly and the weather in Colorado just makes it that much better! So the important bands of this concert were the epilogues, the rouge, and Meese, and while I am sure there were other ones that were good, they were the only ones we were interested in.
all of them are local, which is a main reason we were interested in only them but also we’ve seen them before and it’s nice to keep seeing them. Especially the hot drummer who sadly has gone slightly manorexic from the epilogues. Anywho, the epilogues were up first and we locaed what we thought was the stage they would be performing on. No stage, a local bar. Where we weren’t allowed in. So we left and wandered around coming back when they were up and leaning against the bar and listening through the window. The only time we actually saw the epilogues was after their set, when they were walking out of the bar. Woo….
Here I am doing another mobile post! So badcally I am here umprting my CDs to my itunes library bcause if you remember to wayyy in the beginning of this blog my computer crashed hardcore and I am still importng my CDs. I kind of have a lot… So anyway back to the point, I got a coke out of the fridge to drink while passing the time importing my CDs. Well, I really don’t like pop pretty much at all but I drink it every now and then just because. So I am drinking my coke and am compltey revolted at contents of the can. This is coke? Has it really been that long since I have had one of these things? Evidenly, the answer is yes. So I proceed to have a pepsi as well, to see if it has changed from the nastiness it used to be. I honestly used to love coke, mostly due to it’s advertisement. It always seemed so old fashioned in a way; just classic. Original. Cool. Well As soon as I had some of that pepsi, I was suprized. It’s exaxtly like the old coke! What a delight! I can have the coke flavor of my chldhood again! And when I thought all was lost! Except… I don’t like what pepsi connotates. The new kid on the block as opposed to the old school classicness of coke… I like the coke connotation better. Damn those advertisers! They worked!
But I am still we retly going to drink pepsi…
For the past week or so I have seen countless advertisements for the DVD release of he’s just not that into you. And from the previews and such I figured it would be a good movie, though I hadn’t heard much chatter about whether it’s good or not from people, I took a gamble and watched it today. Well honestly I loved it, it was cute and funny and it gave lots of insight into the minds of both genders and made even clearer the difference in which men and women think. I personally highly recommend it to any one of the female variety, and when no one is home the male personel should watch it as well for insight into the female psyche.
Lovin’ the blog on the go option with my iPhone! (yeah still bragging)
So, I got this new handy dandy iPhone…oh yeah!! And it occurrd to me I don’t update this much mostly because I do it when I am bored and that usually happens while I am away from a computer because who could ever get bored on a computer? So I tried to connect to the Internet and simply post from there but it wouldn’t work or I couldn’t figure it out or something and then I thought… App! Because you know I have an iPhone now (yes, that’s me bragging). So I got the little wordpress app and am now updating away! It took a little to get the swing of it, I lost one mighty fine post due to my error, but, in return I have figured this app out! Expect some hardcore posting to commence.

For all well, zero of you, who follow this masterpiece of writing, there hasn’t been any updates in the masterpieces lately. And I am sure, that your world came to and end when you would click over here expecting an update and *gasp* nothing would be there. So you would click again and again refresh, but there was nothing new! I am so sorry… My stupid stupid stupid STUPID computer decided to die. It just wouldn’t turn on one day, they say It died in It’s sleep… a peaceful way to go…so they say anyway…but I could not stand it. To lose such a precious commodity to my life? It was like my best friend, my very best It friend. So, I revived the little bugger. and it is back in existence…however everything that was saved, like pictures, music, homework, is gone. I guess I couldn’t save all of It’s memory. So we must go about re-acquainting ourselves. Passwords, fave websites, all those things we used to do together… It just cant remember anymore. So I have started the slow therapeutic process of getting It’s memory back. its a long road, but a full recovery is expected.
So, those of you who know me have probably heard of my little problem…my little brother. He is wildly immature, bratty, now taller than me and has a funny thing of wires in his mouth, more commonly known as braces.
He has played hockey now for…lemme think…well basically ever, I think since around 3rd grade or something ridiculous like that, well he’s an 8th grader now, so you do the math (5 years for you slow people) and well…he’s good. He’s damn good. His hockey career has had nothing but gold and silver metals, MVP awards, and basically anything to do with greatness in hockey. Well this very evening, he walks into my room, saying, “Ashley I have something to show you…” and here I sit watching Bones at my computer (yay Hulu!) and think, oh great, some bug or nasty thing he picked up somewhere and is going to throw at me. (Don’t think it hasn’t happened) Well, to my delight, it is not some creepy crawly of the night, but a plaque, that says his team had won second place in gold division, which is like, huge. And not only that, but after all the pictures, “Some lady came up to me and said I might get sponsored by some radio stations”. So she went outside and made some calls for about 20 min. and came back inside, we still don’t know fo sho, but she said he “has the best butterfly she’s seen in a looong time”. So that’s good!! and well, I cant claim to teach him everything he knows but well… just most of it. Just kidding, but I am immensely proud of my little brother and hope 933 sponsors him so I can get free concert tickets! heehee my intentions revealed…
Any who, he will be attending RV next year and trying out for our hockey team, I am quite confident he will make it, but I just wanted to share my cool little brother with the world!
Luv ya bud!

After a long and quite interesting day, I have finally sat down in front of my computer, to give you the ending to the cliff hanger I left you at the previous post. For those of you who forgot: Michael running girls’ track. For the full story, you will have to check the real paper, April 15, but basically, the hilarity is just as funny as expected. And even better news, we are going back after break because we missed some stuff! To check out what we have so far, visit the main site and click through the pictures, even watch the video! (most definitely worth it).
